As a Business Analyst you will make an impact from day one.
Your initial role will be to learn and support us on customer projects, extending our knowledge base and building the company.

Typical tasks are:

• Gather and organize data and information on e.g. markets, companies, business models or technologies.
• Analyze and/or deliver information through e.g. MS Power Point, Word or Excel.
• Build Excel models and structured databases.
• Join customer calls and meetings.

Every project will be different, trends will pop up and the GTP team will develop. And you will bring your individual strength to the team. In our own interest, we will ensure that you have a place in the team where you contribute with the strength you have.

• Bachelor’s degree or similar
• Strong analytical skills
• Proficiency in English, German is desirable but not a must

• At least one additional hard skill like Excel, PowerPoint, Lean, business plan modelling, programming (e.g. python), data science

Most of our clients are based in Europe, some are situated overseas. There are projects, like a business turnaround for example, that require on-site presence. Other assignments, like a 3-week market study, do not. We believe in the importance of meeting in person to achieve a deeper level of understanding and relation fast. At the same time, we believe that working remotely can offer significant advantages. In the end, the right team knows where it needs to be to perform at its best.

Our office policy in a nutshell: (1) If the project requires on-site presence with the customer, then you need to be there. On average we would estimate 20-30% travel for Associates and Project Managers and less than 10% for Interns and Analysts. (2) We will invite you to Hamburg (or another place) for team- or customer workshops. (3) For everything else, you can work from wherever you want. We do have remote working standards (e.g. stable internet connection, availability, alignment with customer and team) to support team cohesion and collaboration and ensure delivery quality for our customers.

As an Associate you run your own project modules supported by the company’s Partners.

Typical tasks are:

• Plan your project module.
• Engage with customers and the GTP team to ensure the best possible result.
• Analyze markets, competition, technologies, supply chains.
• Develop results which can for example be a SWOT analysis, a business plan, a strategy, a process, a model, an action plan.
• Implement: Plan, track, do and support implementation.
• Deliver your results in writing, presentation, spreadsheet or similar.

• Area of specialization relevant for GTP. That can be on technology (e.g. storage, hydrogen, solar PV, offshore wind) or functional area (e.g. project development, asset management, procurement). The ability to become the best in this field is more important than having extensive experience today.
