Greentech Partners (GTP) is an owner-managed management consultancy for the greentech and energy transition sector. We advise project developers, OEMs, suppliers, investors and startups across wind, solar, battery storage (BESS) and adjacent segments on strategy, performance improvement and turnaround. We also support clients asset transactions and corporate M&A.

Your role

Our consulting team successfully delivers engagements for clients in the energy transition. We now have an established client base and want to take the next step in scaling. For this, we are looking for a Principal who steers delivery with full ownership. You lead current and new engagements independently, safeguard quality and results at the client while we grow, and continue to build the team with us.

Your responsibilities

• Strategy with an implementation mindset: You develop market, growth and portfolio strategies and translate them into concrete measures, responsibilities and milestones.
• Performance improvement and turnaround: You lead earnings improvement, restructuring and transformation programs, work on-site with the client’s management and drive initiatives through to execution.
• End-to-end delivery: You steer engagements from proposal to demonstrable impact, in terms of content, timing and economics.
• Client responsibility: You are the first point of contact at management board and executive level.
• Team building: You recruit, lead and develop analysts and consultants and establish staffing, methodology and quality standards.
• Standardization: You are responsible for turning proven approaches into scalable methods, templates and knowledge modules, and involve the team in doing so.

Your profile

• Several years of consulting experience at a Tier 1 strategy consultancy or comparable, most recently as Project Leader, Engagement Manager, Senior Manager or in a comparable role.
• Proven implementation experience in performance improvement, transformation or turnaround projects, with responsibility for realizing measures at the client.
• Proof that you have delivered teams and client projects independently.
• Strong academic background.
• Strong analytics, reliable financial modelling and clear structuring.
• Sector experience in energy, industrials or cleantech an advantage.
• Entrepreneurial drive, hands-on mentality, strength in leadership and coaching.

As a Senior Consultant at GTP, you work on client projects and industry-specific studies, supported by the guidance and expertise of our experienced team. You have the autonomy to drive projects forward, the training to develop quickly, and the resources and mentorship you need to succeed.

Your responsibilities

• Client projects: You work on client projects within a defined scope and set of deliverables.

• Studies and expertise: You conduct studies, share findings and build expert knowledge.

• Collaboration: You work with clients and the GTP team to deliver high-impact results.

• Analysis: You analyze markets, competition, technologies and supply chains to support strategic decisions.

• Deliverables: You develop comprehensive deliverables such as SWOT analyses, business plans, strategies, processes, financial models and actionable plans.

• Implementation: You implement solutions by planning, tracking, executing and supporting their rollout.

• Communication: You communicate results through written reports, presentations and data analyses.

Your profile

• MBA/equivalent degree or Engineering degree from a top university
• Minimum 3 years of experience at a Tier 1 consultancy or Big 4 company
• Strong analytical skills with a proven track record of problem-solving
• Native-level German and English at minimum B2 level
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Experience using technology (e.g. AI-based tools) to improve efficiency and quality

Your role

We are building an internal data platform that will become a core part of how GTP works. You own the technical build end to end. We are looking for someone analytically sharp and hard-working who wants to build the data and AI backbone of a leading energy-transition advisory firm with us. We will go into detail on the project in the interview.

Your responsibilities

• Data model: You design and own the data model of the platform.

• Pipelines: You build and maintain the pipelines that keep the data up to date.

• Web application: You build and ship the web application our team uses.

Your profile

• Degree in computer science, data engineering or a related field, mainly as evidence that you can see something through to the end.

• Practical experience through internships, working student roles or your own projects; we do not expect a full-time job history.

• Solid backend fundamentals: SQL and relational data modelling, comfortable designing a schema from a written specification rather than a finished ticket.

• Fluency with modern AI coding tools (e.g. Claude Code) as your primary way of building, not just autocomplete.

• Frontend ability sufficient to ship a clean, usable web app; you do not need to be a design specialist.

• Comfort with ambiguity: you will often get a written brief and priorities rather than a fully specified task, and are expected to ask sharp questions rather than wait.

• Language: Fluent English; German min. level B2, since many of our sources are German-language.
